The one cent coin costs more to produce than its value and is nearly obsolete in retail. But it has its supporters. President Donald Trump has ordered the Treasury to stop minting new pennies, reviving an old debate about the value of the one cent coin. As the world develops more precise technologies, why would you eliminate a piece of currency that allows for more precision?
